Longitudinal follow-up data of tibial muscular dystrophy disease progression
In this retrospective study, authors analyzed follow-up data from examinations of 137 tibial muscular dystrophy patients spanning 15 years.
Results showed that the first symptoms were walking difficulties and weakness in distal lower limbs, of which progression was moderate and mild, respectively, even at very old ages.
Authors concluded that these results fit with the known profile of tibial muscular dystrophy, and therefore could have the potential use of predicting disease evolution in current patients.
