Why this matters
MCR syndrome is a recently described predementia syndrome. This was the first study to identify factors associated with MCR while accounting for physical performance and body composition in community-dwelling elderly Chinese and may help to further develop understanding of the pathophysiological mechanism underlying MCR syndrome, and therefore dementia.
