Why this matters
Diagnostic criteria for NMOSD were proposed to distinguish NMOSD from multiple sclerosis (MS) and other inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system. However, there are three different sets of criteria: 1999 NMO criteria, 2006 NMO criteria, and 2015 NMOSD criteria. The results of this study provide a side-by-side comparison between the three sets of NMOSD criteria.
