Association between lacunes, cognition, and motor function in patients with Parkinson’s Disease
Multivariate analysis demonstrated that the presence of lacunes in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) was negatively associated with disease duration, gait speed, and time spent on Trail-Making Test part A (TMT-A) than those PD patients without lacunes.
Authors concluded that lacunes were independently associated with worse cognition and may accelerate disease progression in patients with PD.
